ASKA progresses on Type Certification Process, receives two key FAA Certifications

Flying car prototype ASKA A5 drive & fly eVTOL
ASKA™ A5 – a real flying car

We are excited to share new company milestones. ASKA™ A5 is progressing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Type Certification Process. The A5 has the distinction of being the world’s first flying car to start the type certification process with the FAA.

The ASKA™ A5 prototype has been awarded Certificate of Authorization (COA) and Special Airworthiness Certification by the FAA. The Special Airworthiness Certificate confirms that the vehicle has successfully met all the FAA safety requirements. This will significantly boost our progress with the type certification process and also expanded flight testing. The data we are harvesting from flight testing is enabling us to make good progress towards our type certification. We have already completed the initial phase and are progressing towards our next milestone, G1 status.

Learn more about these milestones in our press release.
